A Closer Walk with God

January 6, 2019 - January 26, 2019

January 6, 2019 – January 26, 2019

We invite you to join our church family as we begin 2019 with 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer. From Sunday, January 6th through Saturday, January 26th we will seek to know God in a deeper and more personal way through our Lord Jesus Christ. This is our period of Consecration “being set apart to be used by God”. Each year, we experience God’s transcendent presence and transforming power in our lives during this period. Our church family members have given many testimonies of mighty moves of God in their lives and families during this period that sets the direction for our walk with God throughout the year. Please join us!

There are a few things to keep in mind… Remember, the purpose of the fast is to draw closer to God. When fasting, be sure to turn away from distractions and spend quality time each day in prayer, worship and Bible reading/study. During your fast you will want to focus your time with God for a specific purpose or to gain His guidance, wisdom, intervention or direction in your life. It may be beneficial to think of 2-3 things/persons most pressing on your heart and make that your focal point. You may want to write them down and be prepared to hear God speak to your heart, as He draws you closer to Him. The Fast that God has led us to partake in is The Daniel Fast that consists of water and natural juices, fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes. Only natural sweeteners (such as raw honey) should be used. Please stay away from processed or chemically enhance foods.
