Lord, Teach Us to Pray – Part 1

Scripture: Matthew 6:6
But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Reflection:
Developing a prayer life requires learning to pray as Jesus taught in the Lord’s Prayer. As we increase our communication with God, we must also increase our communion with God. And that begins with having a place where we will meet with God in prayer daily; a secret place where we draw near to God and present our petitions unto Him. And our Heavenly Father who is in the secret, and hears and sees in secret and answers our prayers. When we ask God to teach us to pray, He hears us and guides us to pray His Word and it reaches His ear.
Prayer:
Lord, teach me to pray as Jesus taught in the Lord’s prayer. Transform my heart as well as my words with prayers that reach Your ear. And show me Your will and plans for my life. Shape my heart, align my desires, and guide my words as I seek You. Amen.
Lord thank you for the power, privilege and priority of prayer. Amen!
