Receiving the Peace of God through Prayer

Scripture: Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Reflection:
Apostle Paul teaches the Philippian believers (and each of us) not to allow anxiety (nervousness, uneasiness, stress) in life to overwhelm them. He then instructs to take every request and concern to God in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. When you present your problems and concerns to God, He give you peace that is beyond your human ability to understand and that peace will guard your through Christ Jesus. Prayer exchanges your anxiety with God’s peace.
Prayer:
Lord God, You are the God of peace. I chose to release all anxiety, stress and worry to You in prayer. Teach me to pray this scripture and others like it when I feel anxious or fearful. I receive Your peace in my heart and dwell in Your presence, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Thank you Lord for blessing me with your perfect peace.
