Scripture: Luke 18:1Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart (faint)…
Reflection:
There is a persistence in prayer that God desires from His children. It involves praying continuously in faith and refusing to lose heart. It is praying and believing God to perform His Word even when the outcome and answers are delayed. In Luke 18:1, Jesus begins the parable of the persistent widow who pleaded with the unjust judge with this declaration. She did not stop troubling the judge until she was certain that he heard her plea. Persisting in prayer produces perseverance and builds your faith and your conviction to believe God all the way through to the answer.
Prayer:
Father God, teach me to pray about everything and pray according to Your Word. Help me to be persistent and to make my requests known to You daily and then to trust and accept Your will in my life and circumstances. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Thank you Lord for always hearing our prayers and help us to abide in your word and promises
It is so easy to lose heart but God is calling for persistence in prayer! Thankful for the parable in Luke 18 which reminds us to not lose heart in prayer!
