Ephesians 5:1-2
1Therefore, be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
Reflection
To Walk in Love is to live a life that demonstrates the agape love of God in Christ Jesus every day. Agape love is love that has no limitations. It is the love that is the essence of God Himself and emits His very nature. Apostle Paul instructs believers imitate God by showing Christ’s love in the way we treat others in the same way that Christ gave Himself for our sins on the cross. In dying for us, Christ gave Himself as an offering to God on our behalf and shed His blood for the redemption of our sins. He gave His life and shed His blood because He loved us that much and His sacrifice to God was a sweet-smelling aroma, a fragrance unto God. Beloved child of God, learn to love others unconditionally, intentionally and purposefully. Overlook their faults and forgive them freely just as Christ does with you and I each day. Let you love show, so the world will know that you are one with Christ and your brothers and sisters in Christ.
